The India–Taipei Association (ITA), in collaboration with the Department of Investment Promotion, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), jointly hosted the Taiwan–India Investment Strategic Partnership Forum on May 21 in Taipei. The event marked the largest-ever Indian state government delegation to visit Taiwan, promoting the theme of “Invest in India Now” and highlighting the start of India’s Golden Decade.
According to an ITA press release issued on May 21, Dr. Manharsinh Laxman Yadav, Director-General of the ITA, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the significance of this milestone visit. The delegation included senior representatives from several of India’s fastest-growing and most dynamic states, symbolizing a new era of strengthened Taiwan–India economic relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
According to an ITA press release issued on May 21, Dr. Manharsinh Laxman Yadav, Director-General of the ITA, delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the significance of this milestone visit. The delegation included senior representatives from several of India’s fastest-growing and most dynamic states, symbolizing a new era of strengthened Taiwan–India economic relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.He also mentioned that Allegiance Group (忠實集團) plans to establish six international technology parks (ITIP) in India, further supporting industrial collaboration between the two nations.
Representatives from four major Indian states presented their respective investment strengths and opportunities: Tamil Nadu – a key hub for Taiwanese manufacturers; Andhra Pradesh – strategically located near Chennai, India’s major industrial city; Telangana – home to Hyderabad, a leading center for R&D and innovation; Karnataka – known as India’s Silicon Valley.
The forum attracted a large number of Taiwanese corporate delegates, who engaged in one-on-one business meetings, in-depth discussions, and market analyses. Participants showed strong interest in India’s growing potential across electronics, electric vehicles, information technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) sectors — laying a solid foundation for future collaborations.
Mr. Gourab Basu, Senior Vice President of VVDN Technologies, shared successful Taiwan–India partnership case studies, offering attendees practical insights into the operational models and investment returns of doing business in India.
