Allegiance Group, in partnership with the Government of Tamil Nadu, has launched the “India Golden Decade” initiative — a long-term plan to develop six Taiwanese Industrial Parks (I.T.I.P) across southern India. On April 26, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to mark the beginning of this 10-year strategic cooperation. The project’s first phase will involve investments exceeding USD 200 million, with a projected total investment impact surpassing USD 1.2 billion over the next decade.
The signing ceremony, held at the Tamil Nadu State Government Office, was co-signed by Dr. Darez Ahamed, Managing Director of Guidance Tamil Nadu, and Mr. Jack Lee, President of Allegiance Group, witnessed by Dr. TRB Rajaa, Minister for Industries, and Mr. Sam Chang, Vice President of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in India. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Taiwan–India relations, representing a joint commitment to shaping the next chapter of Tamil Nadu’s industrial transformation.
Dr. Darez Ahamed noted that Taiwanese investments in Tamil Nadu have traditionally focused on electronics, textiles, and footwear manufacturing. He emphasized that the MOU with Allegiance Group will expand the scope of Taiwanese industrial participation and facilitate vertical integration across multiple sectors, strengthening Tamil Nadu’s position in global supply chains. He added that Allegiance Group will play a pivotal role in elevating the state’s international business competitiveness and serve as a key bridge between Taiwanese enterprises and the Indian market.
Mr. Jack Lee, President of Allegiance Group, stated that Tamil Nadu is the industrial manufacturing hub of southern India, boasting highly skilled engineers and strong technical capabilities. He confirmed that the I.T.I.P Taiwanese Industrial Park has received official state project approval and will be recognized as one of Tamil Nadu’s priority development programs. Through close collaboration with the state government, Allegiance Group aims to leverage India’s demographic advantage and partner with Taiwanese manufacturers to build a globally competitive manufacturing ecosystem featuring vertically integrated supply chains. The I.T.I.P Industrial Parks will attract a wide range of industries — including electronics, semiconductors, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, consumer electronics, communications, footwear, and textiles. Beyond infrastructure, the parks will offer one-stop investment and operational services designed for seamless business establishment.
Additionally, Allegiance Group and the Tamil Nadu Government will jointly develop “Formosa Living Park,” India’s first Taiwanese lifestyle community, combining residential, cultural, and retail facilities to create a true home away from home for Taiwanese professionals in India. Mr. Lee added that Allegiance Group’s long-term goal is to build a sustainable and green industrial ecosystem — integrating industrial development, cultural exchange, and talent cultivation — making I.T.I.P not just an industrial cluster, but a model for eco-friendly, innovation-driven industrial zones across Asia.
